Below you'll find a brief list of the various services I offer. It is by no means an exhaustive list, as my technological skillset is constantly expanding, and I try and work closely with others techs and "gurus" in the area to make sure my clients stay up and running with the best possible care and peace of mind. Nine times out of ten, I'll be able to solve your problem. Even if something is "out of my league," I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.
internet setup/security
Whether you just bought a new DSL or cable modem and you just don't feel like hassling with it, or you're a business or home user who wants a consultant to tell you that "Yes! You are surfing the web safely!," or "No! Your ID won't be stolen if you do such and such," then I'm the guy for you. I tend to be a little paranoid when it comes to the internet (although they say you aren't paranoid if they really are out to get you!), so rest assured that I'll act the same way for you and your electronic assets.
wire(d/less) networking
If you need help making one or more computers, printers, palm-pilots, smartphones, servers, etc... talk with each other and play nice - on the wire and over the air-waves, I'm the guy for the job. I have extensive knowledge and experience dealing with various types of networking infrastructure, and I love learning more!

Is your computer sitting on the floor? Have colonies of cute fuzzy little dust bunnies invaded the internals of your computer(s)? Is your brand new computer running slower than a three-legged dog? Then chances are you need a little routine maintenance done on it, just like you faithfully get your oil changed every 3000 miles, ... right? Well, we offer home and office maintenance contracts that keep your computer tuned up and running at its best, so that you can get more life out of your investment, and help to prevent catastrophic data-loss.

What is this "Linux" that everyone keeps talking about? Is it really free??? A lot of people (including myself), think that Microsoft creates some fine products, but wouldn't it be nice to have a choice or two? So the good news is: Linux isn't just for Geeks anymore! So if you're interested, I can sit down with you and help you determine if Linux is right for your specialized needs and environment.
repair/cleanup/performance+
Like anything, computers everywhere break down, act up, throw tantrums, and just generally misbehave at times. Sometimes it seems like this is doubly true behind the redwood curtain in Humboldt County, where brown outs and power surges have become "run of the mill" events. If your computer falls into this category, you don't have to put up with it! It might be three years old, but don't you expect it to act like an adult? data backup & recovery
I too have suffered the agony of just one misplaced keypress: All of that raw power and speed I so valued in my modern harddrive turned against me in my own hands as it unfeelingly destroyed years worth of my important personal files. I learned my lesson; I now backup so often I'm thinking about installing backup lights on my computer! But really, they say its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all; I say that when it comes to computers and your personal/business files, it's far better to have loved and never lost. Be safe. Back up your data!
If you have been visited by the evil file fairy and lost data, think on this: If the FBI and the bad guys seem to be able to retrieve data from of a system that people tried to delete, what prevents us from retrieving data that was accidentally deleted? That's the question I asked myself after the above-mentioned incident. Give me a call. I'll see what I can do.

Programming and working with databases is really my specialty. It's what I do, who I am...
